Labor Day Weekend at the Dallas Arboretum

There’s no better place to spend a holiday than at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Enjoy $2 hot dogs and root beer floats as you take in the gorgeous scenery all weekend long. To celebrate the kickoff of college football, the Arboretum will show the Texas Tech/Ole Miss game on Saturday, The Blind Side on Sunday and Rudy on Monday.

Riverfront Jazz Festival

Kicking off today, the Riverfront Jazz Festival brings together some of the biggest names in jazz, blues, R&B and soul music for an incredible three days. Including native Dallasite Erykah Badu, this music festival is guaranteed to be a moving and memorable time for all.

Labor of Love Homebrew Festival at Deep Ellum Brewing Company

If you love good beer and live music, then Deep Ellum Brewing Company’s 7th Annual Labor of Love will be right up your alley. This popular festival features 30 teams vying for the title of the best homebrewed beer. Tickets must be purchased in advance online.

Labor Day Weekend Dino Fest at the Perot Museum

Whether you have kids or are a kid-at-heart, you won’t want to miss out on the Perot Museum’s inaugural Dino Fest. Meet Museum paleontologists, participate in dinosaur trivia, dig for fossils and create dinosaur-themed crafts for a “dinomite” good time.

AdvoCare Classic – LSU vs Miami

College football season is officially underway across the country, with two powerhouse programs facing off at AT&T Stadium Sunday, Sept. 2. The LSU Tigers will take on the Miami Hurricanes in a game for the ages.
