I Got My Texas Real Estate License! Now What?

Once you have been issued an active Sales Agent License and the license is in the possession of your sponsoring broker, you can begin practicing real estate. We will get you enrolled in our online Quick Start Guide to lead you through the necessary first steps of real estate. We will give you guidance, advice and training to help you stay engaged in your career after licensing.

Continuing Education (CE)
  • Real Estate Career Training, owned by CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company, is approved to teach Continuing Education (CE) courses as TREC Provider 315. These courses are offered throughout the year and also at no cost to our agents.
  • For your second license renewal (after two years) and each renewal moving forward, you will need to complete 18 hours of approved Continuing Education (CE) courses including four hours of TREC’s Legal Update I, four hours of TREC’s Legal Update II, and three hours of contract-related coursework. If you have been made a supervisor by your broker, you must also complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility Course as part of your 18 hours of CE.
  • Legal Update I and II is taught monthly and fulfills the license renewal requirement for all licensees. Our real estate professionals are fortunate to have Jan Fite Miller, Executive Vice President of CENTURY 21 Judge Fite, as the primary instructor for this course.
Sales Apprentice Education (SAE)
  • If you are renewing for the first time, active or inactive, you must have a total of 270 qualifying real estate course hours, four hours of TREC’s Legal Update I and four hours of TREC’s Legal Update II posted to your license record prior to submitting your renewal. If you have been made a supervisor by your broker, you must also complete the 6-hour Broker Responsibility Course. All qualifying course completion documents must be submitted to TREC at least 10 days before renewing your license.
  • Legal Update I and II is taught monthly and helps fulfill the license renewal requirement for all licensees. Our real estate professionals are fortunate to have Jan Fite Miller, Executive Vice President of CENTURY 21 Judge Fite, as the primary instructor for this course. This class is offered at no cost to our agents.
