Our 25+ offices across the metroplex not only allow our real estate professionals to buy and sell more homes, but to become experts on the many communities CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company serves. There’s a lot we love about the cities of Cedar Hill, Flower Mound and Ennis, so we’ve narrowed down our favorite places to play, shop and dine next time you find yourself in the area.

Places We Love: Cedar Hill

Just a short drive southwest of Dallas, the city of Cedar Hill is rich in both history and culture. It’s notable for over 3,000 acres of protected nature reserves, scrumptious selection of cuisine and a connection to the infamous bank robbers Bonnie & Clyde.

If you love spending time outdoors or on the water, Cedar Hill State Park features stunning views of the DFW Skyline, hiking/biking trails and its main attraction: Joe Pool Lake. Visit Historic Downtown Cedar Hill and the Cedar Hill Museum of History to discover the fascinating history of the city founded a year after Texas joined the Union in 1845.

Shop

For a one-stop experience, head to Cedar Hill’s open-air shopping center Hillside Village. In addition to many popular chain retailers and restaurants, Hillside Village boasts a splash pad perfect for families looking to burn off a little extra energy. The Historic District of Cedar Hill provides a more personal shopping experience with a variety of small shops and boutiques.

Dine

There’s no shortage when it comes to phenomenal food in Cedar Hill. Located in the Historic District, Sam’s Pizza features New York-style pizza, mouth-watering pasta dishes and stuffed pizza. If you’re in the mood for brunch with a local feel, Dick’s Uptown Café has some of the best breakfast hash in DFW as well as traditional breakfast plates.

Places We Love: Flower Mound

As the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex continues to expand north, the city of Flower Mound’s family-oriented community gives it a close-knit, small town feel. Its central location and variety of things to do makes Flower Mound a great place to spend a day with friends and family.

Grab the whole gang and head to Moviehouse & Eatery for a stand-out dine-in theatre experience. Whether you’re wanting to catch the latest movies or a classic film, the gourmet menu at Moviehouse & Eatery will leave you more than satisfied. Before we know it, the grueling Texas heat will be back. Flower Mound’s CAC Water Park is a local favorite place to cool off as soon as it opens Memorial Day Weekend.

Shop

Outdoor shopping centers are booming across North Texas, and Flower Mound’s Robertson’s Creek Shopping Center offers a great variety of retail staples including Ulta Beauty, Old Navy and Hobby Lobby. Continue your shopping spree across Dixon Lane at The Highlands of Flower Mound which boasts a Super Target, World Market, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Party City.

Dine

Today’s diners are looking more for food that is locally sourced or possesses an authentic taste. Flower Mound’s highly rated Prime Farm to Table features both local and sustainable ingredients in their cuisine. If you love genuine New York bagels, head over to the newly opened Boil & Bake Bagels for a delicious lox bagel or breakfast sandwich. Satisfy your craving for authentic Tex-Mex with table-side guacamole and top shelf margaritas at Gabriela & Sofia’s.

Places We Love: Ennis

Well-known for its Czech heritage, the town of Ennis is a hidden gem within the DFW Metroplex. The quick 30-minute drive down I-45 is worth it for the many cultural festivals, boutique shops and delicious food Ennis has to offer.

All Texans will agree: springtime in the Lone Star State is quite a sight to see. During the month of April, people come from all over the country to tour the breathtaking Ennis Bluebonnet Trails and Festival (April 17-19, 2020). Share a unique experience with your loved ones as you travel back in time to the 1950s at one of Texas’s few remaining drive-in movie theatres: Galaxy Drive-In Theatre just north of Ennis. The seven massive screens are hard to miss as they greet travelers along I-45.

Shop

Like many smaller towns, Ennis is a great place for those with an affinity for antique shopping. Downtown’s All in the Family offers a variety of collectibles from vinyl records to farmhouse furniture to custom build pieces. Also located in Downtown Ennis, Felcman’s Ladies Shop has been in business for over 90 years. Whether you’re looking for trendy jewelry, a special gift or in need of laundry service, Felcman’s is the place to go.

Dine

If you’re traveling through Ennis around lunch hour, stop by the charming Wildflower Café for their signature chicken salad sandwich on a fresh croissant or popular Wildflower Salad. Established in 1988, family-owned Bubba’s BBQ & Steakhouse serves authentic Texas BBQ with a side of Southern hospitality. Don’t have time to sit down for a meal? Then you must “Czech” out the Kolache Depot Bakery and their sweet & savory kolaches.
